6 things you will be glad you did on your wedding day | Hilton Head Island Wedding Photographer | Augusta Georgia Wedding Photographer

If you are new here, welcome! I’m Chloe, a small business owner in Evans, Georgia and professional photographer since 2012. I love being at home with my husband and three kids, trying new crafts and recipes, and getting to visit the lowcountry when I can. I’ve been photographing weddings for close to 12 years now and couldn’t love it more!

1. Hire a planner, or at a minimum a day of coordinator (Don’t leave it to your mom, sister, or another family member to make sure everything is taken care of, they need to enjoy the day and experience it with you! The entire Vendor Team and your wedding day benefits from one, trust me.)

2. A First Look (By now you know what this is, maybe one of you is on the fence and still prefers to wait until the ceremony? But if you choose to have a private moment beforehand, you actually get to talk, spend more of your day together, get more portraits together, get to the reception faster, and the amount of my couples that are so much more relaxed and happy they did one makes it completely worth it.)

3. Have 10 minutes alone
(Whether that is dinner is in another room just for a few minutes where no one is approaching you two and you can actually have a moment without anyone to soak in your day. Even if it’s not a dinner, if we have the time after portraits, I tell make couple to go take 10 minutes without anyone before they go into the reception.)

4. Visiting each table to say hi & for a photo op (Don’t want to do a receiving line, but want to make your guests feel appreciated and catch up for a second? Walk table to table with your photographer and for hugs and catching up while also grabbing candids before all the dancing begins!)

5. A last dance while the guests line up for exit (It takes a few minutes to get everyone outside and lined up for your sparkler exit, why not use that time to have one more dance together to finish the night? It makes great photos and it’s memorable!)

6. A timeline (Whether you are more organized or more go with the flow, every day needs an outline of events, must have family photos, and time budgeting for those gorgeous golden hour portraits before the sunset. I always create a custom timeline for my couples so they will know exactly what to expect!)
