Phillip & Corrie's Proposal | Columbia SC Wedding Photography | Lexington South Carolina Engagement Session
It's not every day you get to photograph someone asking their girlfriend to marry them, and I LOVE photographing that incredibly special moment!! Phillip is my cousin, and I was ecstatic back when he contacted me about capturing this for him. We found a date, he planned how he wanted to do it, and on the day of I hid behind a huge tree in the woods waiting for them to come down the road to the church (which is the church his Grandma still attends today!) His mom also deserves a shoutout for coming to the church beforehand and being my light tester, and helping find the best tree to be behind so I wouldn't be seen as they came down!
Now it is June, and we are in the south, so even though it was in the morning it was already close to 100 degrees, and I was trying to be so quiet, and not make a sound brushing these huge ants off me as I waited lol. Thank goodness no one was around to see that! haha
Corrie's reaction was precious, and she had no idea I was there until I came out of hiding! After a few minutes of letting all the joy and excitement sink in, we walked around various spots in this little town getting some beautiful photos. I love them all, but OH MY GOSH that field just blew me away! Absolutely perfect! After we finished I just had my macro ring shot left and we headed back to Phillip's Grandma's house. I spotted some of her succulents and told her how those are some of my favorite!! And had to get Corrie's ring in those too, she was so sweet and even gave some to me to take home! I hope y'all enjoy this proposal as much as I do, congrats Corrie and Phillip!! I can't wait to celebrate at the wedding!
